The Los Batanes campsite is located on the border between the provinces of Albacete and Ciudad Real, right in the middle of the Lagunas de Ruidera Nature Reserve, which is the most remarkable wetland in Castilla-La Mancha. Located in the Upper Guadiana Valley, next to the towns of Ossa de Montiel and Ruidera, the fifteen lagoons which comprise the Nature reserve flow along a 35km stretch of river. They are joined to each other by streams, waterfalls and underground currents overcoming a 120m high slope and occupying a total surface area of 3772 HA. On its bed countless species coexist, both flora and fauna.
